The digital X-ray is different from traditional X-rays because the process uses a flat electronic pad or sensor as opposed to the standard X-ray film. The image is uploaded into a computer, where it can be viewed right in the examination room.

Digital x-rays allow us to: 

• Enlarge images to focus on potentially problematic areas. 
• Share the images easily with doctors and surgeons. 
• View detailed images that detect cavities and possible tooth infections. 
• See what’s going on above your gums and in the jaw. 

A digital x-ray can also be altered to be lighter or darker to help us see certain areas better. When you come in for your exam, we can provide digital x-rays and take a good look at the inside of your teeth.
